KL2 Multidisciplinary Clinical Research Career Development Program

Summary:

The ITHS KL2 Multidisciplinary Clinical Research Career Development Program provides the time, funding, mentorship, and training necessary to foster the early career development of clinical and translational researchers. The program is funded by the NIH and welcomes scholars from all health professions.

KL2 Scholars are appointed for up to three years of support. The program encourages all types of clinical research, including patient-oriented research, translational research, small- and large-scale clinical investigation and trials, epidemiologic and natural history studies, health services research, and health behavior research.

Award Amount:

Up to $85,000 for Salary for 75% effort, $25,000 for research funds, $2,500 for travel for up to three years

Idaho Water Resources Research Institute

USGS 104b Notification of Intent

Summary:

The Idaho Water Institute is currently accepting notifications of intent (NOI) regarding grant proposals in response to the annual USGS 104b funding opportunity. The NOI will be used by the Water Institute to solicit external reviewers as one component of the grant review process.

NOIs can be sent to the Water Institute via email (iwrri@uidaho.edu), and must include:

  • the name(s) of the principle investigators,
  • the title of the proposed research, and
  • a one-sentence objective statement detailing the primary aim(s) of the proposed research activity.

2019 Training Researchers to Eliminate Disparities (TREND)

Summary:

TREND Grants are intended to establish and/or to sustain an innovative training program for graduate students who are seeking careers dedicated to understanding and eliminating disparities in breast cancer outcomes across population groups.

The research training program should be designed to meet the following goals:

  • Attract graduate students, specifically those from populations affected by disparities in breast cancer outcomes, into research careers.
  • Develop novel and creative methods to empower these students with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively explore the causes of differential breast cancer outcomes and develop interventions to reduce and eliminate such disparities

Award Amount:

$405,000 direct costs only; $135,000 per year for up to 3 years
