Post-Award Service Level Commitment

The post-award team has several exciting changes happening in our team from October through February that may impact the level of service we have expected from our team. We are welcoming three new babies and giving those moms time to bond, recover, and enjoy time with their little ones. We are also welcoming two new SPAs to the team which includes getting access set up, training, and transitioning workload to our new team members.

We recognize that this is spreading a lot of work among a few post-award employees and we want to ensure we stay aligned with our Blueprint for Success goal four to foster a thriving community (specifically strategies two, three and four). We want to ensure our employees have work/life balance and are still able to support campus. In an effort for business process transparency we are streamlining our service level expectations for our team and want to let you know what you can expect from us.

  • Award setup and notification – 10 business days

  • Email responses – 5 business days*

  • Invoices & Draws – completed by sponsor due date

  • Financial Reports – submitted by sponsor due date

  • Budget Adjustment Requests – 4 business days

  • Journal Entry Review – 4 to 6 business days

*As always, if you have an urgent issue, please indicate in the subject line of an email and we will prioritize looking at those issues and don’t hesitate to follow up with a phone call or Google chat. With respect to emails for post-award support, please remember to send them to postaward@boisestate.edu instead of individuals’ personal addresses. This will result in fewer automated out of office responses and will permit us to triage and respond to your email requests as quickly as possible.

We expect service levels to return to a normal level by March 2023 and will do our best to speed up our service levels sooner, if possible.
