Summary:
This annual grant opportunity supports activities that unite effective practices in education and in the arts, enriching teaching and learning opportunities for K-12 students.

Award:
Up to $10,000
Requires a 1:1 match (cash or in-kind) and funds up to 50% of projected expenses. Award amounts depend on panel scores and available funds and may be less than the amount requested.
Limited Submission Requirements and Timeline:
One (1) quarterly grant application per university may be funded each fiscal year.
Only proposals approved by the Division of Research and Economic Development may be submitted to this program. For such approval, Principal Investigators (PIs) must first submit a one- to two-page white paper to preaward@boisestate.edu by December 6, 2023 at 12 PM.
White papers will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Describe the educational mission and the project or activities for which funds are sought.
- What student needs will be addressed by this project?
- What is the learning impact of this project?
If selected to submit a full proposal, PIs must ensure that proposals meet all requirements stated in the RFP, in this announcement, and in the implementing laws and regulations related to this grant program.
Key Submission Dates:
- December 6, 2023 at 12 PM – White paper due to preaward@boisestate.edu. We encourage you to cc your Dean for visibility as well.
- December 13, 2023 – Anticipated date Internal Awardees Notified
- January 24, 2024 – Full proposal due to OSP
- January 31, 2024 – Full proposal due to Idaho Commission on the Arts
Important Note on Requirements:
Requires a 1:1 match (cash or in-kind).
Requests for Cost Share must be submitted for Approval by the respective departments, colleges, and DRED at least 30 days prior to submission. Failure to do so will result in cost share not being approved.
