The Center for Research and Creative Activity is hosting the first annual Beyond Boundaries: Highlighting Interdisciplinary Excellence in Team Development and Research event. This event will highlight all the innovative network development and community-building work the Interdisciplinary Research Accelerator and Grand Challenge (GC) awardees have done over the last year.
The event will have:

Presentations from each Interdisciplinary Research Accelerator team about their thematic focus area and individuals associated with the work.

A panel discussion focused on innovations forming and working in interdisciplinary teams, network development, and community building at Boise State.

Posters showing work from Healthy Idaho and Resources Nexus for Sustainability Grand Challenge (GC) awardees.

A social hour for networking and connection for the Boise State research and creative activity community.

TRANSFORM Seed Grant Information Session
The Translational Research Ambassadors Network for Strengthening Institutional Capacity and Fostering an Open and Responsive Mindset (TRANSFORM) project will be awarding two grants per year for up to $200,000 each in direct funding along two tracks: market-oriented and community engaged. For faculty interested in applying for a TRANSFORM Seed Grant, there will be a virtual information session with an opportunity to ask questions with project leadership. FY24 DEPSCoR Research Collaboration Funding Announcement
The Department of Defense (DoD) announced the FY24 Defense Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (DEPSCoR) – Research Collaboration funding opportunity. The objective of this program is to increase research capacity at eligible institutions to develop, plan, and execute science and engineering research that is relevant to the mission of the DoD. This funding opportunity aims to create basic research collaborations between a full-time faculty member who has never served as a PI on a prior DoD directly funded research award and an investigator who has served as a PI on a DoD directly funded research award between October 2017 and September 2024 and who will provide mentorship to the primary applicant.
Amount
Up to $200,000 per year for three (3) years

- Notification of White Paper Selection: September 6, 2024
- Full Proposal Submission: November 25, 2024
