Boise State Resource Nexus for Sustainability Launch Event
Please join the Resource Nexus for Sustainability Grand Challenge team as they formally launch their efforts working on resilience and sustainability topics with the Boise State community and external community members. The event will take place on January 11, 2023 from 4:30–8:30 p.m. in the Pioneer Room at JUMP (1000 Myrtle St., Boise, ID 83702).
This event is a great opportunity to hear from leaders in the field on resilience and sustainability topics, to learn about the team’s vision, and to provide input on how to build community-based projects and sustain long-term efforts. In addition, this interactive event includes a Sustainability Art Exhibit, a performance by the Idaho Dance Theater, and community lightning talks. The team will also discuss a funding opportunity for solution-oriented, societally relevant resilience and sustainability projects.

- 4:30–5:30 p.m. – Cocktail Hour and Sustainability Art Exhibit
- 5:30–5:45 p.m. – Opening Remarks by Boise State Vice President for Research, Dr. Nancy Glenn
- 5:45–6:00 p.m. – Idaho Dance Theater Performance
- 6:00–6:15 p.m. – Resource Nexus for Sustainability Vision and Funding Opportunity Announcement
- 6:15–6:30 p.m. – Keynote Speaker — Julia Colbert, ASU Global Institute of Sustainability and Innovation
- 6:30–7:00 p.m. – Community Lightning Talks
- 7:00–8:30 p.m. – Community Networking and Feedback Opportunity
