Limited Submission Notice: National Forest Foundation Collaborative Capacity Program for Forests & Communities 2025

Sponsor

National Forest Foundation (NFF)

Summary

The NFF’s Collaborative Capacity Program financial awards provide resources to support collaborative activities that increase wildfire resilience, recreation opportunities, forest health, and rural economies. Eligible efforts must describe how investments in collaboration will support a long-term strategy for achieving stewardship outcomes and how these outcomes benefit National Forest System lands. Funding must support collaboration or collaboration-based activities that aim to benefit National Forest System lands. For example, collaborative efforts can lead to reduced wildfire risk by developing shared planning tools and sharing strategies for forest treatments. Collaborative efforts can hire local contractors to lead community needs assessments and visitor use surveys to improve recreation access and infrastructure. Collaborative efforts can also improve habitat and forest health by working together to build consensus and support planning processes for landscape scale-restoration projects.
