This application should not be completed by registered respiratory therapists. If you are a registered respiratory therapist, please visit our Degree Advancement Program website.

All students must complete an application to Boise State University prior to applying for admission to the Respiratory Care Program.

If you are not currently enrolled at Boise State, please email a PDF of your unofficial transcript(s) to respiratorycare@boisestate.edu

Submit a completed application form by March 1st if you are seeking entry into the Respiratory Care Program. For applications submitted after the March 1st deadline, please contact the Department of Respiratory Care, (208) 426-3316 or respiratorycare@boisestate.edu.

All students accepted into a clinical program will be required to submit information for a criminal background check (every six months) and annual drug testing in accordance with College of Health Sciences’ policies. Specific information concerning the background check will be included in the letter of acceptance.

This application is five pages. Please continue until you are able to use the “Submit” button. If you close out of this application prior to selecting the “Submit” button, you will have to restart the application. The system will not save your data.

Once submitted, the system will email you a copy of your completed application to your Boise State email. The School of Respiratory Care Sciences will email your Boise State email address within five business days of receiving your application.

Our rigorous program requires a large time commitment. This includes not only classroom time but time in the simulation center and extensive clinical shifts (up to 12 hours per day). Clinical shifts may begin at 6:00 or 7:00 am. Locations vary and may include Boise, Meridian, Nampa and/or Caldwell.
