Ever feel like you have to repeat your whole life story every time you meet a new advisor? With SSH, academic advisors share a single, secure record. This means:

Personalized Support: Your advisors can see the full picture of your journey, not just a list of classes.
Custom Action Plans: Work with your advisor to create a step-by-step roadmap to reach your goals.
Goal-Driven Support: Turn your big-picture ambitions into manageable milestones with a clear path to the finish line.

No More Guesswork

We’re streamlining your journey. SSH handles the logistics behind the scenes, giving you more time to focus on your goals and your future.:

Automatic Email Confirmations and Reminders: Get automatic reminders for appointments and notifications when a new advising note or task is waiting for you.
Prefer text message reminders? SSH now sends text message reminders for all your advising appointments.

Scheduling Made Simple

Finding time to meet with an advisor shouldn’t be a headache. The new Student Portal makes it easy to book appointments. It’s the same familiar interface every time, so you don’t have to learn a new “system” just to schedule an appointment.

There are multiple ways you can log in to Student Success Hub. You can search for Student Success Hub in your My.Boisestate portal or you can click the link below.

Instructions for How to Schedule an appointment

Step 1

From your portal home page click Schedule Appointment

Step 2

In the scheduling wizard, click the down arrow next to Success Team and select the appropriate option:

My Assigned Advisors allows you to select your assigned advisor or a member of your advising team
Academic Development and Recovery allows you to select an advisor to assist you with academic probation, reinstatement, or any kind of academic difficulty
Undeclared and Major Exploration allows you to select an advisor who can assist you with exploring/changing to a new major

Step 3

From the advisor list, select the advisor you want to meet with or, if you have no preference, select Show me all available time slots

Select the topic you would like to discuss with the advisor

Step 5

Select a specific date range you’d like to schedule. If you don’t have a specific range, leave blank. Click Check Availability to see how many appointments are available. Click Next

Step 6

View availability by dates for all advisors. Use the scroll bar on the right side to scroll down to see more availability

Click on a time that works and then select either In Person or Virtual NOTE: not all advisors offer in person appointments Click Next

Step 8

Enter additional notes for your advisor and click Confirm

Congratulations! You have just scheduled an appointment with an academic advisor. You will receive a confirmation email to your Boise State student email account. You will also get a reminder email 24 hours in advance and one hour in advance.

New Advisor Directory

Meeting with an academic advisor is an important step toward achieving academic goals. While we encourage students to meet with their assigned advisor, they may also schedule an appointment with another advisor outside of their major if they want to explore a different major, minor, or certificate.

Step 1

Click Advisor Directory in the upper right

Select the college and program you are looking for

Step 3

Find the name of the advisor you want to meet with and click “Book In Person Appointment” or click “Book Virtual Appointment” depending on your needs

Step 4

Select the day and time that work best for you and click next

Step 5

Enter a brief description of what you need to meet about and click Schedule Appointment
