As an artist, my primary goal is to convey a sense of feeling or emotion that resonates with those who view my works. I am specifically interested in exploring the multiple facets of loss and grief and how they may be experienced.

My work is an examination and reflection of my own personal experience of the home environment I was brought up in. With the loss of my father at a very young age, I’ve only ever known a non-traditional household that always felt it leaned more toward house than home. All too well known by many, the loss of an important individual in life leaves a lasting void that will never quite be occupied. In spite of this; however, life does go on and we learn to adapt with the absence. It is my hope that when coming into contact with my work, viewers are able to form connections to their own experiences of loss and find solace in the feeling of community.
