Brayden Peer Mentor Ambassador
Hello everyone,
My name Brayden Durfee and I am a junior here at Boise State. It has always been a goal of mine to help my fellow students and people in general to reach their goals and to just be a helping hand in any way I can. That is why I am very excited to be a Student peer mentor ambassador for Sociology Department at Boise State. My goal is to help whoever I can have an easier transition into college and online learning. In the present moment of all human lives we are going through tough challenges worldwide, and individually on a daily, I want to be that small light of positivism to answer any questions, or just be there to help with school and the balance it brings with life. A little more about myself, I am from Oregon. I am a psychology major. I was a social science major but to pursue my ultimate goal of becoming a sports/counseling psychologist I had to switch my major. This gives me so expertise in your major and minors, and navigating Boise State many awesome degrees and minors. One day I would like to have my own sports psychology clinic and help people overcome the obstacles in their life, to discover their purpose and goal of greatness. We all have the ability to reach the goals we have in mind, we just have to remember, no matter what life throws at us we can always find peace to let that carry us through the hard times. I am an athlete as well. I am a sprinter on the track and field team for Boise State. My events are 60, 100, and 200. Just like the track team. The teachers, staff, and peer mentors are all a team as well and work together to be there for whoever has questions and to make this process as supportive and productive as possible.
