2016 “The Social Life of STEM,” investigating how the prioritization of STEM affects the new business model of higher education, integrating intensive undergraduate research training as the Intermountain Social Research Lab (IMSRL), involving 18 student researchers, with initial findings to be presented at the Pacific Sociological Association’s annual meeting, Portland, OR, April 6-9, 2017.
2014 “Learning Motivation and Engagement of STEM Students,” team designed survey instrument relating student motivations and technology use in the classroom, collecting well over 100 responses.
2013 “Interdisciplinary Impact of NSF Chemistry and Math REUs at Boise State,” STEM Station Partnership, with recent IMSRL students, interviewing former REU students to measure and enhance positive impact of interdisciplinary summer experiences.
