Public Health and Population Science Divisional Dean Dr. Lillian Upton Smith was recently recognized for her visionary leadership in education at this year’s Education 2.0 USA Conference.
Three achievements were identified in her nomination:
- Bringing the Real College Survey to Boise State University and starting the comprehensive response to food and housing insecurity through the development of the Student Basic Needs Consortium.
- Providing training and workers to respond to COVID-19 on campus and in the community.
- Developing key partnerships with the College of Western Idaho for seamless transfer and advancing relations between community colleges and universities in public health.
