Student Organizations

The Department of Criminal Justice has two student organizations. Please see links to the left for complete information:

Alpha Phi Sigma

Alpha Phi Sigma is the nationally recognized honor society for students in the criminal justice science. The society recognizes academic excellence by undergraduates, as well as graduate students of criminal justice.

Lambda Alpha Epsilon

LAE is an organization open to all students interested in a career in criminal justice.  This organization participates in regional and national conferences in which a variety of competitions are held.  Such competitions include firearms, criminal investigation, crime scene investigation, criminal law and procedure, and other law enforcement related areas.

In addition, LAE meets regularly on campus to plan and initiate organization activities (e.g., general business, conference scheduling, service activities, fundraising, and social events).
