Mental well-being is fundamental for overall health and life satisfaction. Awareness and support foster a culture of compassion and connection, influencing how we think, feel, and act towards ourselves and others.
Mental Well-Being
In a representative survey of residents in EIPH counties, respondents were asked to rate their mental health. The first page of the dashboard below shows the results of this question.
Mental Health Providers
Data on mental health providers is collected through the National Provider Identification Registry and is reported by County Health Rankings. Data is reported as a ration of the population to the number of mental health providers. Data for EIPH is found on the second page of the linked dashboard.
Suicide Rate
Suicide data is collected by the National Center for Health Statistics and National Vital Statistics System. Calculating the rate of suicides includes data from the Census Bureau’s Population Estimates Program. The data is reported by County Health Rankings. The rate reported is the number of deaths from self-inflicted injuries per 100,000 population. Data is found on the second page of the linked dashboard.
