It’s National Drive-thru Day, so we’ve put together a short list of the many drive-thrus that Boise has to offer. Read about some of our drive-thrus and then go grab a bite to eat! These food options are sure to make your mouth water.
1) Westside Drive-in
Featured on the TV show “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives”, Westside Drive-in is a 50’s themed diner serving up classic American favorites. Burgers, fries, shakes, steaks galore… and more! And don’t leave without trying their famous Idaho ice cream potato — yes, you read that right!
2)Neighbor Tim’s BBQ
This family-owned restaurant slow-smokes the best pork and brisket on the block. They’re dedicated to serving quality all-American BBQ and encouraging their customers to be neighborly to everyone they encounter. You can drive-thru Neighbor Tim’s BBQ on the Boise Bench or stop by their indoor location at The Warehouse Food Hall.
You can find them at two locations – one on State Street and the other on Parkcenter Boulevard. At Westside Drive-in you don’t get just food, you get an experience.
3)Gyro Shack
If you’re looking for a Greek option that’s quick and easy, this is the place for you! Gyro Shack has yummy gyros, salads, rice bowls, and desserts that’ll keep you satisfied. Multiple locations are scattered throughout Boise, so you never have to travel far to get a taste of Greece!
4)Hawkins Pac-Out
You’ll want to hit this old-fashioned, family-owned drive-thru before adventuring up Bogus Basin Road. At Hawkins Pac Out, you can get breakfast, burgers, and chicken daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pro tip: if you’re feeling extra hungry, be sure to try their famous breakfast burritos!
5) Fanci Freez
You can find some of Boise’s best ice cream and milkshakes at the Fanci Freez, a classic Boise favorite that’s been around for over 50 years. You can order whatever crazy combination of flavors you’d like – the options are endless! Treat yourself and get a classic burger and fries along with your favorite frozen treat.
