B2B Eligibility

This program is funded by the National Institutes for Health (NIH). Our criteria for admission to the B2B program adhere to NIH requirements.

The Bridges to Baccalaureate program offers two eligibility options in order to qualify for the program.


Students must belong to at least one of the following qualifications:

  • Ethnic minority (Hispanic, African American, American Indian or Pacific Islander);
  • Have a documented disability;

Or meet two from the following criteria:

  • Were or currently are homeless;
  • Were or currently are in the foster care system;
  • Were eligible for the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program for two or more years;
  • Have/had no parents or legal guardians who completed a bachelor’s degree;
  • Were or currently are eligible for Federal Pell grants;
  • Received support from the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) as a parent or child;
  • Grew up in a U.S. rural area*

While at the College of Western Idaho and Boise State, students must be enrolled full-time.
