Bill Otey, a member of Boise State’s first four-year college basketball teams in 1968-69 and 1969-70, led the Broncos in rebounding seasons, averaging 17.3 and 13.0 per game. During his junior season of 1968-69, Otey also led the team in scoring with 16.1 points-per-game average. In 1968-69, he led the team to an overall record of 19-8 and an appearance in the NAIA district tournament. As a senior in 1969-70, he helped guide the Broncos to their first 20-win season with a 20-8 mark and a trip to the NCAA Division II regional tournament. Otey currently holds Boise State records for rebounds in a single game at 22, in a single season with 467, for a career with 805 and for career rebounding average at 15.2 per game.
