Dee Pickett played quarterback for the Boise State University football team during the 1976 and 1977 seasons. He was extensive action in both seasons before he decided to end his collegiate football career and devote full attention to his rodeo career. Pickett has had a remarkable rodeo career and in 1984 claimed the world title in team roping and was named the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association All-Around World Champion.
