Nacho Larracoechea is the first Bronco tennis player to be inducted into the Boise State Athletic Hall of Fame. An outstanding player in 1973 and 1974, Larracoechea won four different Big Sky Conference championships during his career. In 1973, he won the No. 5 singles championship and had an overall record of 18-2. He was also a member of Boise State’s No. 2 doubles team which won the league crown with an overall record of 14-6. Larracoechea had an excellent senior seasons in 1974, winning Big Sky Conference championships at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles positions. He also helped lead Boise State to the 1974 Big Sky Conference team title. Larracoechea become the league’s most valuable player following each of his seasons at Boise State.
