Transforming Healthcare Leaders: Jenni Gudapati’s Innovations in Developing an Online Graduate Degree in Population & Health Systems Management

Jenni Gudapati, Clinical Associate Professor at Boise State’s College of Health Sciences, played an instrumental role in the development of the innovative online graduate degree in Population & Health Systems Management (PHSM).

With Gudapati’s leadership and vision, the PHSM Master’s program recently earned the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education’s George and Regi Herzlinger Innovation Education Award. She has worked collaboratively with the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) to create a program that brings together interdisciplinary students and industry professionals from various healthcare sectors as faculty. The program’s unique features, such as weekly guest lectures, access to the Maker Lab, and four certificates in addition to a master’s degree, demonstrate Gudapati’s innovative thinking and her commitment to preparing future healthcare leaders to transform the healthcare system. Gudapati’s work, along with the College of Health Sciences’ support and HFMA’s partnership, resulted in a successful and sustainable program that hits the mark on many aspects of innovation.
