Zoom Presentation: Exposing the Hidden Curriculum: Cultivating Structural and Systemic Change for Mid-Career Faculty Advancement

Wednesday, October 19, 2022
12-1 p.m.  and 1-1:30 p.m.

Facilitator: Sydney Freeman Jr., PhD

Many faculty describe the mid-career stage as feeling trapped or in a malaise. This stage is often characterized by a lack of mentorship, increased service, and administrative assignments, and a lack of clarity regarding expectations for promotion to full professor and leadership opportunities. This webinar provides academic leaders with tools to support mid-career faculty by demystifying and clarifying reaching the next rung of the academic career ladder. They will also discuss ways that academic administrators lead transformational enhancements to policies, practices, and institutional culture that generate positive structural and systemic changes.
