Faculty180 Reminder for Workload Assignments

If you haven’t already entered your workload assignment for AY 2023-24 (or for AY 2022-2023) in Faculty180, please be sure to do so before classes begin in the fall (see this document for instructions and/or see a video demo here). Prior to the pandemic, department/unit leaders documented the workload for faculty in the annual evaluation form, but for reporting purposes that process has changed: now workload is listed under “Activities” and must be entered by faculty members (department/unit leaders can enter it, too, in the same place).

Why is this important? The Boise State workload policy, University Policy 4560, requires that “[d]ocumentation of faculty workload assignments for the upcoming academic year must be submitted to the dean prior to the start of fall semester.” Such documentation is also important for grant reporting. Currently, a large majority of faculty have no workload entered for the previous or upcoming academic years.

Chairs can look at workload reports for your department by pulling an Activity Input Report.
