BOLD Committee

I wanted to participate in the BOLD Committee because I wanted to find a way to still be connected to Boise State and give back for all that the university has done for me in the opportunities they provided for me to succeed. A strong bond of alumni is important to the future success of us all and for the university.

I currently serve on the Boise State Alumni Association’s board of directors, and helping enhance the voice of the Broncos of the Last Decade is something I have become so passionate about. After graduation, staying connected and forming a strong network can often be difficult as graduates are pulled in so many different directions; I am so excited to be a part of building this network and celebrating and engaging BOLD graduates through this committee.

I joined the BOLD Committee to work alongside an amazing group of alumni and to give back to this amazing community of Broncos.

I joined the BOLD Committee to further my positive impact and outreach with my community, specifically through my alma mater.

I feel like there’s been a very negative connotation around getting involved as a recent grad. In the past, it’s felt like the university tries to get you to donate with no real return for your money. I’m hoping as a part of the BOLD Committee, I can help change that perception.

What drew me to the BOLD committee was the aspect of bringing back past Broncos and giving them an opportunity to reestablish or establish connections with and create a network of other fellow Broncos.

I joined the BOLD Committee because I am a proud Boise State alum who wants to give back to the university that has given me so much. I also want to build connections with fellow BOLD alumni and stay engaged with the exciting things happening on campus.

I had a great student experience and it’s great to reconnect and network through the committee! Big picture/long term, I believe we are building the foundation of tradition and pride that Boise State deserves.

I spent nearly all of my college career working 50+ hours per week while taking a full time school load. This left very little time for me to be apart of the university outside of the classroom. Looking back, it is not too late to begin to be apart of such a great school that truly help shape me into the individual that I am today.

I joined the BOLD Committee because I wanted to reconnect with the university and my age group peers as I had felt a little distance since graduating. I also wanted to have opportunities to give back where possible.

I’m eager to contribute to BOLD’s dedication to strengthening our alumni network and spreading our Bronco pride and sense of community we experienced in college beyond graduation. It’s wonderful to see my alma mater supporting recent graduates and creating opportunities for broncos as they start their careers.

I joined the BOLD Committee to get the opportunity to participate in Boise State organizations again and network with other BOLD alumni!

BOLD graduates make up around 40% of our alumni population. We are a generation of Broncos that want to create more opportunities inside and outside of the classroom, access to quality education and show a deep passion for Bronco Nation for the next generation of Broncos!

I became interested in the opportunity to join the BOLD Committee to continue to support Boise State and join the community of graduates. Boise State is a huge part of who I am and I want to play a role in continuing to support the university and all students. As an educator I firmly believe in the power of community and connection and the BOLD Committee plays a crucial role in this!

I really loved my experiences during my undergrad and when I was at my community college I was involved in Student Affairs events. When I made the move to work at Boise State, I wanted to find more ways to be involved since a lot of my work is for incoming students. Learning about the BOLD Committee, I thought this would be a great opportunity to connect with other alumni to help build opportunities for current students that is provided by alumni, as well as create opportunities for engagement for alumni as something current students can look forward to.

I was beyond excited when I was presented with the opportunity to participate in the BOLD Committee. I graduated from Boise State in 2022, and after graduating, I really experienced a sense of loss. As a student, I loved being so involved in different clubs and organizations on campus because of the friendships, networking opportunities and skills I was able to develop. Now, as a recent alum, I came to the realization that I wasn’t Abby-the-sorority-girl or Abby-in-Dance-Marathon or any of my college identities anymore. I missed being a part of something bigger than myself. Therefore, I am stoked to be a part of the BOLD Committee to help other recent graduates to still feel connected and appreciated by Boise State!

I wanted to learn more about how we can engage Boise State students after graduation. I also wanted to get more involved and meet people on campus now that I work at Boise State again!

The chance to give back to Boise State and to the people that helped kickstart my journey drew me into the BOLD Committee!

I went from being deeply involved in campus life to two and half years of exciting, but isolating, solo-entrepreneurship, and it made me realize how much I missed the sense of community I had at Boise State. My current role at Trademark has helped me reconnect, this time with the greater Boise community, and it’s been incredibly fun and rewarding. However, the university has played a huge role in shaping who I am, and I joined BOLD because I was looking for ways to stay involved on campus in a more meaningful way. I’ve never missed a football game or a College of Engineering event since graduation, but wanted to be involved in a more official capacity.

As a kid from small town Idaho, I’m passionate about maintaining and growing access to the kind of affordable, high-quality education Boise State provided me. I want to stay involved and help ensure the university continues to thrive for the next generation of students, especially those from rural Idaho like me.

After graduating from Boise State, I wanted to stay involved in the community and the atmosphere that I loved so much throughout my time there. The BOLD Committee allows me to network with like minded individuals while giving back to the place that gave me so much.
