Dairy NutriSols Consortium Receives $5 Million for Phase 2

Dr. Owen McDougal (BMOL Faculty) was just awarded $5 million over the next three years from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) Convergence Accelerator’s Track J: Food & Nutrition Security program. This is a Phase 2 award that will help continue developing Dairy NutriSols, which is a “research and innovation consortium that provides sustainable process solutions for the production of nutrient-dense, shelf-stable, healthy products to combat food and nutrition insecurity.” Dairy NutriSols is led by Dr. McDougal and Boise State University. It also includes many collaborators and investors from both academia and industry (University of Idaho, Chobani, Dairy West etc.).
