Retired Historian Zirinsky Talks About Iran’s Relations With the West

A new University TV Presents episode features retired Boise State history professor Michael Zirinsky talking about Iran’s relations with the West, especially with the United States.

Zirinsky used to teach the history of the Holocaust and the history of the Islamic and modern Middle East. In the episode, he discusses the effects of the two world wars on the Middle East.

Zirinsky’s research includes Iran’s relations with the West, especially with the United States, Great Britain and France. He also researched missionaries, especially American Presbyterian missionaries in late Qajar and early Pahlavi Iran. He went to high school in Tehran, the capital of Iran.
