Develop an Artful Mindset with Lance Brunner

The Arts and Humanities Institute at Boise State University presents “The Artful Mind: Meditation, Contemplative Arts, and the Creative Life” Sept. 18-19 at the Ron and Linda Yanke Family Research Park, Room 207.

Cost is $100 for nonstudents, $85 for Boise State employees and $50 for students with ID.

Led by Lance Brunner, this workshop offers an experiential introduction to meditation and embodied contemplative practices. Meditation and contemplative arts are effective ways to cultivate our inner resources, sharpen attention and enhance creativity in life and work.

This workshop will be participatory and energizing, including such activities as calligraphy, object arranging, movement, vocal improvisation, storytelling and poetry. The program is open to anyone interested in exploring how mindfulness and awareness can lead to a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Please come prepared to sit still, to play actively at the edge of your comfort zone, and to open new vistas for learning, creating and leading, from the inside out.
