‘Honeycomb’ Celebrates Research, Creative Activity in Arts and Humanities

HoneycombFlyer-375x500Boise State’s Arts and Humanities Institute and College of Arts and Sciences present the fourth annual Honeycomb celebration of accomplishments, projects and prospects in the Arts and Humanities. The event is free and open to the public, and there is no cost for parking.

The reception is from 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at the Arts and Humanities Institute Gallery in the Ron and Linda Yanke Family Research Park, 220 E. Parkcenter Boulevard. Hors d’oeuvres will be served and no-host bar will be available.

A vibrant selection of projects will be highlighted, including the following:

Designs for the Boise State music and theatre arts production of “The Pirates of Penzance”

Scenic Design: Michael Baltzell
Costume and Puppet Design: Darrin J. Pufall
Other contributors: Boise State teacher and costume shop manager Keri Fitch, and students Yesul Stella Tag, Robyn Monkarsh, Nicole Gould and Chante Hamann

Premiere screening and Exhibition of “Other Voices, Alternative Imaginations: Quilting to Communicate”

New Books by faculty in arts and humanities

The Center for Orthopaedic and Biomechanics Research (COBR) is hosting an open house from 4-6 p.m. that same evening in honor of National Biomechanics Day. A technology demonstration is scheduled from 4:30-5:30 pm. COBR is just down the hall from the gallery. Visitors are invited to attend both events.
