Kirsten Furlong has been selected as a Montello Foundation Fellow for summer 2016, which grants her access to a remote cabin in the northeastern desert of Nevada to work. The foundation is dedicated to supporting artists who foster society’s understanding of nature, its fragility and our need to protect it. While there, Furlong will continue her work on current projects, as well as create and document some new site-specific work in the northeastern Nevada desert.
