Give a Bit of Blood for Cancer Research

JOrcyk-2-300x279

A team headed by biology professor Cheryl Jorcyk is seeking volunteers to help with cancer research. Inflammatory protein levels in the serum of healthy individuals will be compared to those in breast and prostate cancer patients.

If you are an adult between 18 and 80 years of age who has never been diagnosed with cancer and who weighs at least 110 pounds, is not pregnant and wants to help with this research by having a small amount of your blood drawn by an experienced phlebotomist, please attend one of the scheduled blood draws.

Blood will be drawn from 5-7 p.m. May 26, 27, 31 and June 1, 2, 3 in Boise State Science Building (SCNC) Room 200; on the second floor in the Jorcyk Lab.

The research project is funded by a grant from the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Questions may be addressed to Hannah Scott at 426-4805, hannahscott2@boisestate.edu, or Cheryl Jorcyk at 426-4287,cjorcyk@boisestate.edu.
