Scott Lowe Named Associate Dean of Graduate College

Scott Lowe has been named associate dean of the Graduate College, effective July 1.

Lowe, a professor of environmental studies in the Department of Economics, began teaching in Boise State’s College of Business and Economics in 2006. He also currently serves as the president of the Faculty Senate and the director of the Environmental Studies Program, as well as coordinator for the sustainability minor.

He holds a Ph.D. from University of California, Santa Barbara, and his primary research interests relate to the influence of regulations on environmental and socioeconomic conditions. His research focal areas include air and water quality, urban economics and on water use in the arid western United States.
