Exploring Europa: A Dynamic Ocean World
Dr. Samuel Howell, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Europa, a moon of Jupiter, is a geologically active and potentially habitable world, with a global ocean twenty times deeper than Earth’s protected from the vacuum of space by a thick ice shell.

Join Boise State Physics on Friday, Feb 1 at 7:30p in the Education Building, room 112, to hear Dr. Samuel Howell of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab describe NASA’s Clipper mission to visit Europa, as well as potential avenues for future landed exploration and ocean access.

After the lecture, we’ll visit Boise State’s on-campus observatory. The event is free and open to the public.
