Marketing 401 and 402

Marketing students can enroll in these classes to work on an advertising campaign for a client. The American Advertising Federation hosts a national student competition where they develop and pitch a marketing plan for clients like Coca-Cola, Yahoo, Bank of America, Ocean Spray, and Indeed.

Course Overview

Marketing students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in two consecutively sequenced Advertising Agency Management classes. Each year the American Advertising Federation (AAF) sponsors a competition for schools across the nation. Students collaborate to create a promotional and advertising campaign for a nationally known product the AAF has chosen. During the spring semester, students present their findings before advertising agency executives at a regional competition. One school will then advance to the national finals. Boise State teams have placed in the top three at the regional competition several times, including a first-place finish. The courses are led by Rheanna Allen.
