Amanda K. Miller

Amanda obtained a bachelor’s degree in education for English and sociology to teach at the K-12 level before moving on to a career in business and instructing at the higher education level. She received her MBA from Boise State University and then went on to gain experience working in both public and private sectors.
Her passion is in nonverbal communication, as well as AI and machine learning, as she grew up in a cybersecurity family. She has presented research on emotional intelligence, and bridging the gap between generational communication bottlenecks. She also completed research on the effects of gentrification on education, as well as research on morality politics during her doctoral coursework.
Amanda is an avid equestrian. She owns and manages a boutique hunter/jumper facility that she built from the ground up in a community where it held a competitive advantage. She also has her equine-assisted therapy certification and uses equine nonverbal communication as an aid in corporate team-building retreats.
Amanda was the recipient of the first-ever Adjunct Faculty of the Year Award for Boise State in 2022, and she looks forward to building her career with the Broncos!
