The banner marshals for the College of Business and Economics for Spring Commencement are Jennifer Moore and Ivan Sanchez.
Jennifer Moore, a transfer student from CWI, received a bachelor of arts degrees in quantitative economics, mathematics and secondary education-social sciences. And, she graduated magna cum laude. Moore has been a tutor in the Department of Economics for three years and has also tutored for the Athletics Department, CWI and in an online tutoring program. Moore studied abroad in Cuba and is the recipient of the Pamela and Jeff Casey Scholarship, the Phillip and Venie Eastman Mathematics Scholarship, the Len and Grace Jordan Scholarship for Economics, the John Mitchell COBE Scholarship and the Geetha Raha Economics Scholarship.
She has been part of the leadership team for the Economics Association and a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, an international honor society in economics. Moore is looking forward to teaching economics and math in high school. However, we look forward to her return to Boise State to earn a graduate degree.
Originally from El Paso, Texas, Ivan Sanchez was drawn to Boise State. Something told him this is where he should spend the next years of his life.  Sanchez was the recipient of the Roger Martell Scholarship, the Alan Frankle Scholarship and the College of Business and Economics Scholarship. Sanchez graduated magna cum laude earning his bachelor of business administration in accountancy, was a finalist for Boise State’s Top Ten Scholars recognition and is COBE’s Outstanding Graduate in accountancy.
Sanchez is starting our master of science in accountancy program this fall and will be working for the Department of Accountancy as a graduate assistant. Sanchez plans to go into public accounting and eventually get a doctorate degree and work as a professor. Sanchez was the president for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the financial director for a new student club called The Ethos Project and a member of Beta Alpha Psi.
