Career Track MBA

A full-time day program for recent graduates looking to start their career – designed for non-business majors

  • Students need 0 years of experience but are screened for high potential
  • “Fast Track” option (no GMAT/GRE required) for high GPA recent graduates
  • The focus is on teamwork, business skills, project management, real-world experience
  • Graduate in 2 academic years of day classes in a cohort, lockstep program

Professional MBA

A part-time night program for working professionals looking to advance their career 

  • Students need 2+ years of management experience where you have managed people, budgets or customer accounts
  • The focus is on project management, teamwork, business skills, real-world application, commercializing ideas
  • Graduate in 3 academic years (32 months) of night school on the regular 16 week semester

Online MBA

49 credits, 2-academic-year program or finish in as quickly as one year

  • Students need 2+ years of management experience
  • Focus on innovation, problem solving and managerial decision making.
  • 8 emphasis areas: management, finance, cyber operations, construction management, healthcare leadership and marketing leadership.

Executive MBA (EMBA)

A part-time program for seasoned executives

  • Students need 6+ years of management experience
  • The focus is on leadership, innovation, vision, business skills
  • Graduate in 2 academic years, meets a few days each month

Concurrent JD/MBA

The concurrent JD and MBA program, offered in partnership with the University of Idaho College of Law, allows students to earn both the JD and MBA degrees in four years rather than the usual five.

Graduate Programs in Accountancy

Master of Accountancy (MSA)

The primary role of the program is to prepare students for careers in public accounting as Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). The program focuses on the audit and attest functions of public accounting. The complexity of today’s business environment requires public accountants to have expertise in accounting principles and procedures and to understand the financial, managerial, legal, and tax ramifications of business transactions. The master of science in accountancy at Boise State University is designed to prepare candidates for a career within the broader framework of business decision making.

Master of Accountancy-Taxation (MSAT)

In a world of complex tax laws, tax professionals must have a perspective extending beyond the details of the Internal Revenue Code. They must have expertise in the functions and limitations of revenue laws, in communicating their knowledge, and in assuring the efficiency and fairness of the tax system. As tax professionals progress in their careers, they will receive added responsibilities, including managing employees and being advisors for a broad range of business decisions.

Graduate Programs in Economics

Master in Economics (M.Ec.)

This program is for individuals seeking advancement in their career, and/or seeking careers in more quantitative and analytical fields. The culminating activity is a capstone course designed to give students hands-on experience using the skills and knowledge gained through the program.
