Students in the COBE Living-Learning Community participated in rehabilitation and restoration work on Saturday, November 11, 2017, in the Boise Foothills. They join many others (more than 400 people) planting native species on land that was charred in the 2016 Table Rock Fire. Volunteers planted sagebrush and bitterbrush, and organizers brought in a variety of grasses.

The planting event was organized through a partnership between Boise Parks and Recreation, the Idaho Botanical Garden, the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, the Bureau of Land Management and Land Trust of the Treasure Valley.
