Join Us for a Graduation Open House on the Blue!

We are excited to invite our graduates and their families to an open house at Albertsons Stadium on The Blue, Friday, May 3 from 4-7 p.m. Enjoy light refreshments, music, and an opportunity to take memorable graduation photos on The Blue.

Graduates will receive an email with full details closer to graduation.

Asian/Pacific Islander Stole Celebration

This celebration honors the accomplishments of our graduating Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi and Native Hawaiian students from Boise State University. Students are welcome to invite an honored guest to join them as their stole is presented.

Free parking and refreshments will be provided. Stoles are provided free of charge to graduates and you must attend the ceremony to receive a stole.

Black Excellence Stole Ceremony

First-Generation Graduation Celebration

4 – 5:30 p.m.

Jordan Ballroom, Student Union Building

This celebration honors the accomplishments of students who are the first members of their families to graduate from college. If your parent(s) and/or guardian(s) do not have a bachelor’s degree (i.e. did not graduate from a 4-year college), you are considered to be first-generation regardless if a sibling graduated first. Students can recognize those who supported them during their collegiate journey by asking them to present their first-generation cord onstage. Contact crystalgaleai@boisestate.edu with questions.

Genetic Counseling Hooding Ceremony

Graduating Student Leaders Celebration

Sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and the Student Involvement and Leadership Center, this event recognizes students who have developed as leaders through their involvement at Boise State and have shown a positive impact on the campus community.

Students must be nominated by a staff or faculty member in order to be eligible for recognition. Nominated students will be sent an email asking them to apply by Sunday, April 14, 2024. Contact getinvolved@boisestate.edu with questions.

Sponsored by the Boise State Alumni Association this event offers an opportunity to toast to the spring commencement graduates and Class of 2023 and most importantly, welcoming our graduates to the Boise State Alumni Association. This event is for graduates only to celebrate amongst your peers as well as visit your home in the Alumni and Friends Building. Champagne is complimentary, registration is required. International Graduation Celebration is a unique event that recognizes and celebrates the achievements of international graduates, exchange students, and study-abroad alumni. This event allows these individuals to reflect on their academic journey and the cultural experiences they have gained while studying abroad. It also acknowledges the unique challenges and accomplishments of those who have pursued their education in a foreign country. International Graduation Celebration brings together students, faculty, staff, and families to honor the diverse perspectives and contributions of the global community.

Veteran Cord Ceremony

This celebration honors the accomplishments of veteran graduates from Boise State. Veteran graduates along with their families and friends are invited to the ceremony. Cords are provided free of charge to graduates.

Veteran graduates unable to attend are eligible to pick up a cord directly from the Veteran Services Center.
