Abstract

Material Spectroscopy Analysis remains an integral part of material science in understanding the interior structure of materials. However, the number of samples being analyzed is still limited by the experts available, not including the issues surrounding reproducibility. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used to address the issue surrounding productivity and speed of analysis. We have developed a genetic algorithm-related framework for use in spectra analysis. This has been applied to X-ray related spectra such as EXAFS. We have also ported the framework to other spectra such as nano-indentation and XPS. Our high throughput algorithm is also connected to Material Database (MDB) to allow rapid extraction of the raw material parameter. In addition to spectra analysis, our GA has also been applied to topology-related optimization for heat-exchanger shape optimization to increase thermal transfer efficiency.
