CAES Technical Assistance Program

Boise State University’s CAES Technical Assistance Program (C-TAP) is a business portal that provides fast, innovative solutions to complex technical problems facing local and regional businesses. The program offers “front-door” access to a variety of resources at Boise State and across the State of Idaho.

A key component of C-TAP is the engagement of our students, who work closely with faculty and staff in the problem-solving process, thus gaining real-world work experience to complement their academic endeavors.

Assistance is available across disciplines, with nationally-recognized expertise in materials science, mechanical and electrical engineering, computer science, biomolecular science, sensor development, geosciences, environmental research and energy.

C-TAP can provide services at all phases of the product life cycle and will maintain confidentiality throughout the entire process.

In addition, the University’s Office of Technology Transfer can support commercialization of intellectual property. All contracting is simple and straightforward in business-oriented terms.

C-TAP is sponsored by the Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES), a partnership of the Idaho National Laboratory, Boise State University, Idaho State University, the University of Idaho and the University of Wyoming. More about CAES can be found on the CAES website.
