Are your students struggling with time management, reading comprehension, and other important study skills? The Advising and Academic Support Center (AASC) is offering a new peer-lead program to support students with such skills. Students can improve their comprehension and long-term retention of course content by working with a Peer Academic Consultant (PAC) and learn about more effective study habits and learning skills. The AASC’s  Academic Support Team is pleased to announce that we have moved to a peer academic coaching model known as Peer Academic Consultants (PACs). We will be able to serve more students, create connections between students, and foster a community of peer support that we know will be extremely valuable.

PACs are trained to help students with:
  • Time management
  • Study tips/best practices
  • Note taking & reading strategies
  • Goal Setting
  • Navigating and organizing college life

Peer Academic Consultants are available to come to your class and can do brief, interactive presentations (5-7 minutes) about their services. If you’re interested in informing your students about this great opportunity, please contact us at academicsupport@boisestate.edu.

Please feel free to refer any student to our Peer Academic Consultants by visiting our website. Students can make an appointment with a PAC or drop-in to get help.
