This program overview of CARE will include the purpose/mission, data and trends, how to report concerns, what to report, and the process and actions that might take place after a CARE alert is submitted.

Suicide Risk Assessment for Crisis Response
This skills training will provide an overview of data on suicide and a screener tool that participants can use to evaluate the level of risk for suicide. Participants will leave this training with an understanding of the prevalence of suicide, how to administer the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale Screener Tool, and how to effectively refer to appropriate resources.

Peers Supporting Peers: Student Leader Training
This skills training is intended for all student leaders on campus as a part of a campus-wide initiative to create a trauma-informed campus. During the training, student leaders will learn what trauma is, their role as a trauma-informed Boise State University representative, and a basic framework for how to offer trauma-informed support while staying within their scope of practice.
Suggested for: All student leaders, student organizations, student clubs, etc.

This skills training equips attendees with strategies and resources to support students who display distressing behavior or communication.

Campus Food Pantry tour
We offer both guided pantry tours and educational presentations for campus departments, offices, classes, and student groups.
Person Capacity: 15 (if Pantry open) up to 30 (if Pantry is closed)
This tour will include viewing our Pantry, volunteer room, administrative spaces, and stockroom. Attendees will learn about how to use the Pantry, product offerings, how the Pantry operates, and how to get involved.
