Faculty and staff from the IDoTeach program visited area high schools in the Magic Valley Feb. 25 and March 10 to promote secondary Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education and the the Noyce Scholarship program.
The IDoTeach team facilitated a STEM related group activity and the program donated a total of $2000 to the schools for supplies to create their own STEM projects.
The team also encouraged high school students to consider enrolling at Boise State to become secondary STEM teachers with the support of the IDoTeach and Noyce programs.
The Noyce Scholarship program funds students pursuing STEM teaching degrees to return to their hometowns or rural areas to teach STEM subjects.
