Literacy Lab Graduate Assistantship Available

In the Boise State Literacy Lab, children in grades 1-12 are tutored either one-on-one or in small groups by students in the College of Education.

Do you have an interest in literacy assessment and instruction, as well as a desire to mentor and support pre-service teachers?

The Boise State Literacy Lab is looking for a graduate assistant who is applying to, or has been accepted to, any College of Education graduate program that begins Fall 2020. This position is for a student who is traditionally underrepresented, as defined by The Graduate College – domestic students who identify as Black/African American, Hispanic American, American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, or Native Pacific Islander. For this award, gender is not considered a traditionally underrepresented population.

The position includes a $15,000 salary and related fringe costs, resident tuition and fees, and GA health insurance.

Due to the nature of this position’s responsibilities, prior K-12 teaching experience and some knowledge of literacy assessments and instruction are required.
