Services Overview

Boise State Carved + Crafted Catering (Chartwells) is the go-to provider for food, beverage and catering services, with options to fit every event type – from plated meals to buffets, to bar catering. Menu pricing and service fees are based on market rates. All such charges and fees are itemized and explained in writing when orders are received and confirmed.

Request Process and Timeline

Catering requests made at least 30 days in advance of the event date will receive priority over other requests.

  • Major events, special events, and custom menus must be ordered one to three months in advance.
  • Serviced events, bar service, deliveries and regular menus must be ordered at least 30 days in advance.
  • All events requiring bar service must also have an alcohol permit and be vetted through that process.
  • Requests made later than 30 days prior to the event date will be considered on a case by case basis. After 30 days there is no guarantee that Boise State Carved + Crafted Catering will be able to accommodate your request.
  • All orders must be finalized 7 days prior to the event date, including menu details and final guest headcount. Changes after this date will not be honored.

You will complete your order there, and they provide options for getting in touch with Chartwells customer service for questions or assistance.

Timeline

Advanced requests are highly encouraged. Guidance on when to submit and finalize the details of your request is included below:

  • Major events, special events, custom menus
    • 1 – 3 months in advance
  • Serviced events, deliveries, regular menus
    • 1 month in advance
  • Alcohol and bar service events (permitted events)*
    • 1 month prior to your event day for any alcohol service.

Deadline to Finalize Your Catering Request Details

Menu selections, service style, service times

  • 10:00 a.m., fourteen (14) business days prior to the event

Guest headcount

  • 10:00 a.m., seven (7) business days prior to the event

*Guest headcount is considered final as of 10:00 a.m., seven (7) business days prior to the event, and is not subject to reduction after this time. See the Guarantees section and Changes and Cancellations section of these guidelines for more information.

Catering services requested after 10:00 a.m., fourteen (14) business days in advance of the event will be confirmed pending the ability of the contracted service provider to meet the request. In such cases, the reserving party will make selections from an abbreviated version of the catering menu with prices subject to market, fees, and charges of the contracted service provider. All charges and fees associated with catering services will be itemized and listed in the reservation confirmation.
