| October 1, 2025 | Priority date to submit a 2025-2026 FAFSA to have spring financial aid ready to pay spring semester fees. Students are strongly encouraged to submit a 2025-2026 FAFSA even if the priority filing date has passed. |
| October 1, 2025 | Scholarship priority date for new freshmen and transfer students. Last day to have all admissions materials received in the Admissions Office to be considered for automatic scholarships for Spring 2026. |
| October 31, 2025 | New freshmen and transfer students for Spring 2026 who are offered a Boise State scholarship will be notified by BroncoMail. |
| December 1, 2025 | Priority admission date for spring semester for undergraduate, degree-seeking applicants. All admissions materials are to be received by the Admissions Office by this date. Applicants who miss this priority date will be considered for degree-seeking status on a space available basis. Students who are ineligible for degree-seeking admission may be considered for nondegree-seeking status and are ineligible for financial aid. |
| December 19, 2025 | Electronically accept aid and complete any assigned direct loan counseling or master promissory note to-do items by this date to have financial aid available for earliest release (disbursement) of aid. |
| December 24 – January 31, 2026 | Freeze on loan increases, budget increases and special circumstances requests. |
| December 31, 2025 | Ideal date by which to finalize your spring class schedule to receive the fullest amount of your spring financial aid. Part-time students may begin to see aid reduced based on the level of enrollment prior to the first disbursement of aid. |
| January 1, 2026 | Submit direct deposit authorization by this date on myBoiseState for earliest disbursement of spring financial aid to be deposited into your savings/checking account. |
| January 2, 2026 | Anticipated date that Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) review will be completed for students enrolled during Fall 2025. SAP must be reviewed prior to disbursement of spring semester aid for those with SAP warnings, holds, or academic plans. |
| End of Day – January 2, 2026 | The earliest date that spring semester aid (scholarships, loans, grants) can be applied towards paying spring fees. Students may begin to check their account at the end of the day today for disbursements. Allow 3-5 business days to receive refunds by direct deposit or 7-10 days for refund checks by mail. |
| January 7, 2026 | Estimated date first direct deposit or refund checks received for excess spring financial aid. |
| January 10, 2026 | Fee payment deadline for students registered for Spring 2026 semester courses that begin on January 12. Please refer to the academic calendar for more payment and enrollment deadlines. |
| January 12, 2026 | Spring 2026 classes begin. |
| January 26, 2026 | First financial aid Pell Recalculation Date – Pell Grant eligibility for financial aid is determined by the number of credits students are registered for on this date. All credits for classes that start on January 13, 2026, including internship credits, must be in place by this deadline. Only “financial aid eligible” credits count towards enrollment level, scholarship eligibility, and pell grant and loan eligibility. |
| January 26, 2026 | Deadline to submit a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeal for Spring 2026 financial aid eligibility. |
| April 1, 2026 | If you submit a Special Circumstance near the end of the Spring semester we will do our best to process it before the end of the term but we may not have enough time to make the necessary changes. It is recommend you submit your appeal and all documents prior to April 1st, 2026, but we will review as we are able through the end of the term |
| April 1, 2026 | Deadline to submit documents (verification tax transcripts, etc.) needed to complete your 2025-2026 financial aid application. Documents submitted after this date may be ineligible for student loans, but will still be evaluated for Pell Grant eligibility. |
| April 3, 2026 | Second financial aid Pell Recalculation Date – Pell Grant eligibility for students enrolled in sessions starting after January 26, 2026 is determined by the number of credits they are registered for on this date. Only “financial aid eligible” credits count towards enrollment level, scholarship eligibility, and pell grant and loan eligibility. |
| April 24, 2026 | Deadline to complete a master promissory note (MPN) for spring loans to be released in May. After, spring aid cannot be released until grades are checked and eligibility for spring aid is re-evaluated. |
| Early May 2026 | Complete exit counseling session if you are graduating and have received a Direct Loan at Boise State. You will receive a letter or email with information about what is required. |
| May 6, 2026 | Last day to request an additional Direct Loan for spring semester. |
| May 8, 2026 | Last day work-study student employees who are graduating or are not enrolled in summer or next fall may work and earn their award for 2025-2026. |
| May 8, 2026 | Last date for disbursement of spring aid until semester grades are final. |
| May 8, 2026 | Last day of Spring 2026 finals. |
