529 Plans (Education Savings Accounts)

529 plans, also known as Education Savings Accounts, allow families to save money for future educational costs.

Making Payments from a 529 plan

Please start by contacting your 529 account institution directly. Most plans can send payments directly to Boise State University at your request via check. Please include the student’s name and ID number in the memo line of the payment. For more information on sending payments, please contact our Student Financials Office.

Many plans require students to provide a Cost of Attendance. Please visit our COA web page for instructions on how to view these amounts.
