Now, more than ever, policy change and public communication matter. Individuals want, and need, to be involved in decision-making that impacts the world around them. Do you want to understand how both public and private agencies make decisions that impact the communities around them? Are you curious about how nonprofits innovate and disrupt the way things are done?

The public service emphasis introduces you to careers in the public sector. We work with gap year students to identify interests and passions and to explore various options for creating change in the world through politics, policy and nonprofit advocacy. You will learn from professionals active in these areas and experience the day-to-day activities of the decision-makers shaping our world everyday.
