About Fraternity and Sorority Life

Our Chapters, Your Story

Fraternity and sorority life is a vibrant community of values-based organizations, each with their own rich and unique history, that focus on social connection, leadership, scholarship, service, and personal growth.

Members form lifelong bonds, develop leadership skills, and get involved in campus and community service. Chartered by national organizations, our chapters also offer each member the opportunity to connect and network with countless alumni across the nation.

Boise State is home to one of the fastest-growing fraternity and sorority communities in the nation, growing from just a few hundred members in 2010 to more than 2,700 across 27 chapters today. With more students and chapters joining us every year, it’s an exciting time to get involved and help shape the future of our community.

Councils

Our community has three distinct Councils, umbrella organizations that help support and guide their member chapters. Each council represents a different part of the community, with its own traditions and focus.
