Board of Directors

The Boise State University Foundation’s board of directors is made up of dedicated, community-minded individuals who believe in the power of higher education and the vital role of Boise State.

Board members know that philanthropy is essential to sustaining and enriching the university’s academic life and purpose. They demonstrate that understanding by personally giving to the Foundation, encouraging others to contribute and building long-lasting relationships with the university. As stewards of the Foundation’s and Boise State’s missions and values, the board helps ensure a strong and vibrant future for the university.

Officers

  • Bruce Mohr

    Executive Chair

    Bruce Mohr is a Regional director and Partner with EP Wealth Advisors. For over 25 years Bruce was a Founding Partner with Buffington Mohr McNeal until their merger with EP Wealth in the summer of 2025.  In 2020, Bruce received the College of Business and Economics Outstanding Alumni Award.

    He serves as executive chair on the Boise State University Foundation board and as a trustee for the Boise City Arts and History Foundation. He also recently served on the Boise State presidential search committee. Mohr was president of the Boise Contemporary Theater board and chair of the Boise City Arts Commission. He also served on the boards of the Boise State Honors College, Ballet Idaho, Boise Nationals Soccer Club and Morrison Center Endowment Foundation. Mohr has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Boise State and a master’s degree in finance from the University of Oregon.

    Brian Yeargain

    Vice Chair

    Brian Yeargain is a CPA principal at Little Morris LLP in Boise. He serves on the boards of both the Bronco Athletic Association and Boise State University Foundation. Brian is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Idaho Society of Certified Public Accountants.

  • Jim Martin

    Jim Martin

    Immediate Past Chair

    Jim Martin is a partner with Hawley Troxell. He was previously a partner with Moffatt Thomas for 25 years. Martin serves as the immediate past chair on the Boise State University Foundation board and is a founding member of the Idaho Pro Bono Commission and charter member of the Boise Centennial Rotary Club. He served as chair of the Fourth District Bar Commission and the Idaho State Bar Young Lawyers Section. He has also been involved with the Citizens’ Law Academy, Defense Research Institute, Family Advocates, Federal Bar Association, Idaho Volunteer Lawyers, Sacred Heart, the U.S. District Court Local Civil Rules committee and the Bronco Athletic Association/Alumni Association Biennial Auction committee.

    Martin has received several awards, including the 2007 CASA Lawyer of the Year Award, the 2014 Best Lawyers Lawyer of the Year Litigation Award and the 2014 Idaho Business Review Leaders in Law Partner Award. He has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Boise State University and a juris doctorate from University of Idaho.

  • Matt Wolff

    Matt Wolff

    Treasurer/Finance and Audit, Chair Governance

    Matt Wolff currently serves as president of St. Luke’s Health Plan, a wholly owned subsidiary of St. Luke’s Health System. Prior to launching the provider-sponsored insurance entity in 2022, he led St. Luke’s Health Partners. He has held various management positions within St. Luke’s Health System over the past 12 years, including financial and revenue cycle leadership. Prior to joining the health care industry, Wolff had entrepreneurial experience in multiple startups, and with Deloitte and Touche,
    LLP in the audit and assurance practice.

    Wolff is a graduate of Boise State with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accountancy and a master’s in accountancy.

  • Rick Pedigo

    Rick Pedigo

    Secretary

    Rick Pedigo is president and CEO of Pedigo Products, Inc., a third-generation, family-owned business that manufactures medical devices and is based in Vancouver, Washington. A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration while working full time for the family business. Two of his three children graduated from Boise State University.

    Pedigo and his wife are avid Bronco fans as they follow and support Boise State athletic teams by attending games, fundraising events and donate medical products to the School of Nursing, College of Health Sciences and Department of Athletics.

    Rick Pedigo is president and CEO of Pedigo Products, Inc., a third-generation, family-owned business that manufactures medical devices and is based in Vancouver, Washington.     Kenny Bolton

    Kenny Bolton is a retired district manager with United Parcel Service. His 33-year career began in Oakland, California, and took him all over the country before his retirement in Boise, where he began volunteering on the boards of directors at St. Luke’s Foundation, Epilepsy Foundation of Idaho, Treasure Valley YMCA and Bishop Kelley Foundation.

    Bolton is an avid Bronco fan. In addition to serving on both the Bronco Athletic Association and Honors College Advisory Boards, he supports the students by attending men’s and women’s sporting events and Honors College Last Lecture presentations. Bolton was a co-owner of the NBA D League team the Idaho Stampede and currently invests in several local businesses.

  • Chris Carr

    In 2004, Chris received the Pat Fuller Memorial Award for Academic Achievement and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science. From 2005-2013, Chris played in the National Football League (NFL) as a cornerback and kick returner. He then earned his Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School. He started his legal career as an attorney at Zeman and Petterson PLLC and currently is Partner at Murray Osorio, PLLC. He served on the Brain Injury Services board of Northern Virginia and The George Washington University’s Clinical Law advisory council.

    Cole Clinger

    Cole Clinger has been president of Melaleuca since February 2022 and oversees the company’s departments of sales, operations, information technology, human resources, recruiting, customer service and supply chain logistics. Prior to his elevation to president, Clinger served as the company’s chief operations officer for four years. At the time, over 70% of Melaleuca’s 2,000 North American employees reported through his office; before that, he served as the company’s chief of staff, director of corporate affairs and assistant to the president to Melaleuca Founder Frank VanderSloot.

    Clinger has served as a member of the Shelley School District’s Board of Trustees since 2015, as chairman for most of that time. He graduated magna cum laude from Boise State University with a bachelor’s degree in communications. For many years, Clinger has advocated for Boise State in Eastern Idaho. He and his wife Kate met on the Boise State cheer team and have four children. His oldest son, Ryker, plays on Boise State’s football team. When not at work, Clinger spends time with his family, chasing his kids from one activity to another, and races racehorses.

  • Allen.Dykman

    Allen Dykman

    Allen Dykman is president and co-founder of Dykman, Inc. His business interests also include Dykman Electrical, Inc. and Dykman Properties, LLC. He and his wife, Dixie Dykman, received the 2020 St. Luke’s Ralph J. Comstock Light of Philanthropy Award, were Boise State University Homecoming Grand Marshalls in 2006 and Bronco Athletic Association/Alumni Association Biennial Auction Honorees in 2011.

    This will be Dykman’s third time serving on the foundation board. He is a past executive chair of the board, as well as past president of the Boise State Alumni Association and Bronco Athletic Association, co-chair of the Destination Distinction Campaign steering committee, and a member of the President’s Advisory Board. He also serves on the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl executive committee.

    Dykman received an honorary doctoral degree in 2021 from Boise State, as well as the 2002 Silver Medallion Award, 2001 Distinguished Alumni Award and 2000 Bronco Athletic Association Bronze Bronco Award. He was named the 2010 Idaho Business Leader of the year by the Delta Upsilon chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi at Idaho State, and was selected as a 2020 Influential Leader by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

    Dykman has a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Boise State, where he also played on the football team.

    Marybeth Flachbart

    Marybeth Flachbart is a senior consultant with Mountain West Associates, a boutique consulting firm that supports schools, districts and state education agencies in building capacity for literacy and school improvement. She brings decades of experience in policy, practice and professional development to her work with educators and leaders across the country.

    Flachbart has authored and co-authored several influential literacy resources, including state-level playbooks and blueprints designed to guide comprehensive literacy efforts. She regularly provides technical assistance and facilitates training for educators, instructional leaders and policymakers. Her work is rooted in evidence-based practices and informed by years of classroom experience in both general and special education.

    Previously, she served as Director of the Region 17 Comprehensive Center, supporting the Departments of Education in Idaho and Montana, and as President and CEO of the Neuhaus Education Center in Houston, Texas — a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to literacy solutions and dyslexia support. She has also held leadership roles at the Idaho State Department of Education, including Deputy Superintendent of Student Achievement and School Improvement, and led the development and implementation of Idaho’s Reading First Program.

    In addition to her leadership roles, Flachbart has consulted for national literacy initiatives and taught at the university level. She holds an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Boise State University, an M.S. in Special Education from Fairfield University, and is a Certified Academic Language Therapist.

    Debbie Flandro is a business management professional who retired from Hewlett Packard in 2005, following a 29-year career serving in various roles including Accounting, Production, and Supply Chain Management.  She graduated from Boise State with a BBA in Accounting and an MBA, in addition to an Executive MBA from Duke University.

    Debbie currently serves as Chair of the Gaming Board for Northern Quest Resort and Casino in Spokane, Washington.  She previously served on the Advisory Board for the College of Business and Economics, where she was served a term as President, and also was Chair of the Education Subcommittee.  Other community roles have included serving on the Board of the Treasure Valley YMCA and as a docent for the Idaho Anne Frank Center for Human Rights Memorial.  An Idaho native, Debbie lives in Boise with her husband Jerry.

His other business interests have included board and leadership positions with Broda Medical, Dal-Tile International, David Weekley Homes, Development Capital, First Scientific, Goal Zero, International Housewares Association, Norco, Provo Craft, Rogers  Group and WiLife Inc.

    Hales serves as chair of the Campaign Committee on the Boise State University Foundation board. He received the 2018 CEO of the Year – Large Consumer Products Company Award from Utah Business Magazine, 2017 David Bishop Hope Through Wishes Award from Make-a-Wish Utah and the 2004 Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Erst and Young. He has a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Brigham Young University.

    Layne Hepworth

    Layne Hepworth is retired founder and chartered financial consultant with LPL Financial. He was previously at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He was chair of the Henry’s Fork Foundation board and served on the Fremont County Planning and Zoning Commission.

    Hepworth has a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Boise State University. He received his CLU and ChFC certification through the American College in Denver.

    Layne Hepworth is retired founder and chartered financial consultant with LPL Financial. He was previously at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He was chair of the Henry’s Fork Foundation board and served on the Fremont County Planning and Zoning Commission.

    Hepworth has a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Boise State University. He received his CLU and ChFC certification through the American College in Denver.

  • Zack Higgins

    Zach Higgins

    Zach Higgins is a partner and CEO of Wright Brothers Construction. He graduated from Boise State in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in construction management. In 2021, he received the Boise State Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Award for his efforts in getting the university’s construction management building efforts underway.

    He is the past president of the Idaho AGC, Idaho Wild Sheep Foundation and Boise State’s Construction Management Advisory Council. Higgins currently serves on the Boise State University Foundation Board, Boise State’s Construction Management Advisory Council, Idaho AGC Board of Directors and the ethics committee for the Wild Sheep Foundation. 

    Zach Higgins is a partner and CEO of Wright Brothers Construction. He graduated from Boise State in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in construction management.     Rick Isaacson

    Rick Isaacson is the Chairman of the Isaacson Family Office, the Isaacson Foundation and board member at SERVPRO Industries, LLC. He studied marketing and economics at Boise State University. He led a successful sales operation for Mutual of Omaha before joining his family’s business, SERVPRO, which he spent the majority of his career building into a national leader in the cleaning, restoration and construction industries.

    Joining the company as the assistant marketing manager in 1985, Isaacson was promoted to vice president of marketing in 1987. He implemented the National Training Center in 1992 and the National Advertising Program in 2003. In 2019, Isaacson led the sale of a majority stake of the more than 50-year-old, family-owned company with 2,100 franchise licenses to private equity firm Blackstone, and was appointed chief executive officer. In 2023, he retired from SERVPRO headquarters after nearly 40 years of service to the company. He remains active on its Board of Managers.

    Over the course of his career, Isaacson has served in many consulting capacities. He was appointed by the Governor of Tennessee to the Workforce Development Board. He has been active on non-profit boards such as Pope John Paul II Preparatory School and Court Appointed Special Advocates as well as for-profit boards including Insight Genetics, Tennessee Grasslands Country Club and Highpoint Hospital. Isaacson is currently establishing his family’s foundation, which focuses on Christian causes.

  • Darren Kyle

    Darren Kyle

    Darren Kyle is a second generation owner/operator and franchisee of McDonald’s Restaurants since returning to his hometown of Twin Falls in 2003. He had had ketchup in his veins from a very young age after moving to Idaho as a toddler when his father first became a McDonald’s franchisee over 50 years ago and later working in the restaurants beginning at age 11. Kyle currently operates 12 restaurant locations in South Central Idaho stretching from Mountain Home to Burley and Twin Falls to Hailey and is responsible for overseeing business strategic planning and people initiatives, community building activities and partnerships, as well as the operations execution to the 11,000 customers that visit his restaurants every day. He does this alongside his father, brother and over 600 dedicated supervisors, managers, crew and support staff. 

    Kyle received his BBA in Accounting from Boise State University in 1992 and his license as Certified Public Accountant in 1993. Prior to returning to McDonald’s, he spent 11 years in public accounting practice as a Senior Tax Manager in the Boise office of Deloitte.

    In addition to the Boise State University Foundation, Kyle currently sits on the board of directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Magic Valley and the Boise State College of Business and Economics Advisory Council. He is also a past board member of the Boise State Alumni Association, the Idaho Society of CPAs and numerous other charitable organizations.  

    Outside of work, Kyle enjoys spending time with his sons as well as a host of other activities like golf, skiing, swimming, scuba diving, travel and of course attending numerous Boise State sporting and cultural events.

    Darren Kyle is a second generation owner/operator and franchisee of McDonald’s Restaurants since returning to his hometown of Twin Falls in 2003. He had had ketchup in his veins from a very young age after moving to Idaho as a toddler when his father first became a McDonald’s franchisee over 50 years ago and later working in the restaurants beginning at age 11. Kyle currently operates 12 restaurant locations in South Central Idaho stretching from Mountain Home to Burley and Twin Falls to Hailey and is responsible for overseeing business strategic planning and people initiatives, community building activities and partnerships, as well as the operations execution to the 11,000 customers that visit his restaurants every day. He does this alongside his father, brother and over 600 dedicated supervisors, managers, crew and support staff. 

    Kyle received his BBA in Accounting from Boise State University in 1992 and his license as Certified Public Accountant in 1993. Prior to returning to McDonald’s, he spent 11 years in public accounting practice as a Senior Tax Manager in the Boise office of Deloitte.

    In addition to the Boise State University Foundation, Kyle currently sits on the board of directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Magic Valley and the Boise State College of Business and Economics Advisory Council. He is also a past board member of the Boise State Alumni Association, the Idaho Society of CPAs and numerous other charitable organizations.  

    Outside of work, Kyle enjoys spending time with his sons as well as a host of other activities like golf, skiing, swimming, scuba diving, travel and of course attending numerous Boise State sporting and cultural events.

    David McFadyen

    David McFadyen, President and CEO, of Trinity Health West Region – Saint Agnes and Saint Alphonsus Health System, provides executive leadership, strategic and operational oversight for a 996 bed, five-hospital region, and a 40-bed acute rehabilitation Joint Venture with 87 clinics and two freestanding emergency departments, a clinically integrated network across Idaho, Oregon and California, and 10 other joint ventures. The West Region employs over 9,000 colleagues which includes over 670 primary care and specialty care medical providers.

    Immediately prior to this role, from 2020-2024, he served as President of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and was responsible for leading the strategic, financial and operational direction of the region’s leading level II trauma center with 418-bed medical center. 

    Prior to joining Saint Alphonsus Health System, David served as a senior executive leader in various roles within the St. Luke’s Health System. Roles included Vice President of Population Health from 2018-2020 where he provided operational leadership for St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center including Idaho’s only Children’s Hospital (420-bed regional medical center), St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Hospital and two critical access hospitals in Elmore and McCall. David also had matrix accountability for post-acute and ambulatory clinic operations within the service area and Air St. Luke’s operations (fixed wing, rotor and ground).

    Additional positions at St. Luke’s Health System included the Boise Hospital Administrator from 2014-2018 where he provided executive leadership for St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center and the Children’s Hospital, and Vice President of Operations from 2011-2014 with regional and health system accountability for emergency departments, ancillary services, support services, Air St. Luke’s, and patient access services. McFadyen also served as Vice President of Operations at West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell from 2006-2011.

    Before a career in the healthcare field, McFadyen held the positions of project manager with a Boise-based construction and development company, controller with a manufacturing company and leader at First Security Bank. 

    An active member of the community, McFadyen serves as a board member on the Idaho Hospital Association, Boise State University Foundation Board and the American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board. He holds a bachelor of science from Boise State University and a Master of Business Administration from Northwest Nazarene University.     Brent Moylan is Senior Vice President and CFO (Emeritus) of the J.R. Simplot Company. 

    Moylan has spent a total of 29 years at Simplot and currently oversees 220 Global Finance Employees, in 16 different countries, leading a vision that reinforces Global Finance as Trusted Advisors to the Company while continuing to drive value in support of business excellence from mine to plate. Before becoming CFO, Moylan served as the Vice President of Finance for the Company’s Food Group where he oversaw a team of 30 finance professionals and helped the Company achieve unprecedented success in its food division. He began his career with a 12-year stint with the Company before gaining experience at other organizations. Moylan returned to Simplot in 2008 and has held leadership positions in Finance before being named SVP and CFO. 

    Prior to rejoining Simplot in 2008, he was Corporate Controller for a wood products company and Controller for a multinational electronics manufacturer. He began his career at Simplot as an accountant and held management and controller roles with the Company.

For fifteen years, he actively partnered with the Idaho Lacrosse Association and helped grow and promote enthusiasm in the sport and sustain the local youth and high school lacrosse community. Walker serves as a member of the governance, campaign and investment committees. In addition, he previously served on the College of Health Sciences Development advisory committee, volunteered with VITA through the College of Business and participated in the Faculty in Residence Program (FIR) from 2007-2009 and 2016-2018.
