Building Bridges through Tech-Based Start-ups: Cultivating Hope and Creating Future for Young Entrepreneurs

Boise State University is among the 12 winners of the 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund, a collaboration between the U.S. Department of State, U.S. embassies, Partners of the Americas, and national and global organizations working with Central America, Dominican Republic and U.S. higher education institutions. The fund helps create new models of academic exchange programs for underserved students throughout the Americas.
The Center for Global Engagement has partnered with the Universidad Tecnológica de Honduras for the project entitled “Building Bridges Through Tech-Based Startups: Cultivating Hope and Creating Future for Young Entrepreneurs.” Ten Honduran students were selected to join Boise State for a Business Incubator program, which will take place on September 11-17, 2022.
The program will provide students with an opportunity to:
- Network with Boise entrepreneurs
- Visit successful tech-based startups
- Pitch an entrepreneurial idea in front of a panel of experts
- Exchange knowledge of Honduran business culture with local entrepreneurs
